AUGUSTO JR:
Hi, my name is Augusto Espinosa, and I live in Forney, Texas. I was diagnosed with hemophilia B when I was a baby.
And my inspiration is to show kids...that I'm the same person no matter what.
AUGUSTO SR:
I'm Augusto Espinosa, I'm his father. We live in Forney, Texas, which is a suburb of Dallas. I'm a cop, and what inspires me is these two little boys.
TITLE CARD: How did hemophilia affect you as a kid?
AUGUSTO JR:
Hemophilia does affect people, but it depends on how much you take in to see how much it affects.
TITLE CARD: What keeps you going?
AUGUSTO JR:
To show that I'm the same person no matter what.
I work out at my house, so I could stay fit and healthy, I also eat good. I make sure that I don't eat too much every day, and that, mostly what gets me going every day is that it just feels good.
TITLE CARD: How much have you had to learn about hemophilia?
AUGUSTO SR:
I would say we pretty much know everything, cause we've been really involved with the chapters, so I mean, I know a lot.
I'm just informed now cause my kids have it, but I mean, we're good.
TITLE CARD: What do you wish people understood about hemophilia?
AUGUSTO JR:
That we're still the same person, we're still their friend and everything, we're still family.
